New 2024 Mercedes E-Class Estate arrives priced at £58k
Mercedes-Benz has released the new E-Class Estate with a price of £58,000. The car boasts a more modern and sleek design, with sharper angles and a sportier profile.
The interior of the new E-Class Estate has also undergone a significant upgrade. The dashboard now features a three large screens, with the latest version of Mercedes-Benz’s MBUX infotainment system, which now features games such as Angry Birds and apps such as TikTok and even a web browser. The car also features an outstanding array of advanced driver assistance systems, such as adaptive cruise control and lane-keeping assist – making it one of the safest estate cars on the market.
The boot space of the E-Class Estate is impressive, boasting up to 615 litres of storage capacity with the rear seats folded down. However, the new Mercedes-Benz is not just practical. It comes equipped with a range of powerful engine options. The cheapest is the E200 which features a mild hybrid 2.0-litre 4-cylinder petrol engine producing 201bhp and 236lb/ft of torque, resulting in a 0-62mph time of 7.8 seconds and a top speed of 144mph. Next is the E220d which also has a mild hybrid 2.0-litre engine except it's a four-cylinder diesel engine rather than petrol (hence the "d", for those who aren't car savvy) and outputs 194bhp and 325lb/ft of torque and is slightly slower at 7.9 seconds and 143mph respectively. And finally there's the E300e - a petrol plug-in hybrid with four cylinders like the E200 except with a 25.4kWh battery pack which results in a combined output of 227bhp and 406lb/ft of torque. This will make it the fastest accelerating model in the Estate range from launch with a 0–62mph time of 6.5 seconds however, its top speed is the lowest at 141mph.
Overall, the new E-Class Estate is an impressive car that ticks all the boxes – blending practicality, luxury, and performance effortlessly. With its new sleek design, advanced technology, and powerful engine options, the new E-Class Estate is sure to be a hit with drivers looking for the ultimate in style, comfort, and driving dynamics in an estate car.
