2023 Mercedes-Benz E-Class Estate Unveiled

The New Mercedes E-Class offers more space without compromising performans

Mercedes-Benz has unveiled the latest update to its E-Class line-up – the 2023 E-Class Estate. The new Estate offers drivers more space than its predecessor,  and practicality without compromising on luxury, comfort or performance.

The exterior features sleek lines and a dynamic design with LED lights as standard. The interior boasts high-quality materials, the latest technology, and spacious seating for up to seven passengers. The estate’s most significant advantage is its spacious cargo area, which offers 640 litres of space with the rear seats up and 1,820 litres with them down.

Under the bonnet, the estate offers buyers a choice of petrol and diesel engines ranging from 194 bhp to 362 bhp. A nine-speed automatic gearbox comes as standard, as does Mercedes’ revamped air suspension system, making for a smooth and comfortable drive. Safety features include lane keeping assistance, blind-spot monitoring, and an automatic emergency braking system.

The interior of the Mercedes-Benz E-Class Estate features a dashboard that is dominated by a large digital display that can be operated using touchpads on the steering wheel or by using the touchscreen. Like with other models, such as the C-Class and the rest of the E-Class line-up, Mercedes are pushing their MB OS operating system (the built-in software for the dashboard screens) on drivers by adding applications such as TikTok, Vivaldi web browser, and games such as Angry Birds. However Apple's CarPlay and Google's Android Auto remain a must-have features on customers' list of requirements when choosing a new car. Drivers seem to prefer their infotainment screens to be occupied by these systems that add much of their phone's functionality and apps to their cars. And this trend won't die down anytime soon, especially since Apple CarPlay is receiving a big update later this year that will allow it to take over the entire dashboard and include climate controls.

The seats are upholstered in high-quality leather and come with a wide range of adjustments to ensure maximum comfort for both the driver and passengers. The ambient lighting system can be customized with 64 different colours, creating a relaxing atmosphere inside the car. The rear seats can be folded down to create additional boot space, while a powered tailgate makes loading and unloading a breeze.

Overall, the Mercedes-Benz E-Class Estate offers superior performance, practicality and luxury, making it the perfect option for families or drivers in need of more storage space. It's sure to be a hit with customers who have a demand for highly capable and spacious estate cars.

The price is yet to be announced but British motoring magazine, Auto Express predicts it will be in the region of  £50,000.
