The £215k Lotus Emira GT4 is now in production

Lotus' Emira GT4 race car has finally gone into production

British sport car manufacturer, Lotus has unveiled the new and improved version of the Emira GT4. Announced back in 2021, this track-focused version of the Emira has been specifically designed for racing enthusiasts, and it comes with a host of upgrades that make it faster, more agile, and overall more impressive than ever before.

Unlike the standard Emira, the Emira GT4 boasts a lightweight body made from a carbon fibre and plastic, which not only makes it faster but also more efficient. The car comes with a 3.5-liter V6 engine that delivers a whopping 455bhp sent through its six-speed paddleshift sequential gearbox, this along with its 369lb of torque makes it one of the most powerful cars in its class.

Other improvements include impressive aerodynamic features that make it so appealing to racers, including an aggressive front splitter, a large rear wing, and a diffuser that increases downforce while reducing drag.

All in all, the new Lotus Emira GT4 is an impressive machine that racing enthusiasts won't want to miss out on. Although many may have to due to it's £215,000 price tag!
