Porsche revealed new 718 Style Editions variants for the Boxster and Cayman

The Style Editions take inspiration from the 964 generation 911 Carrera RS

The Volkswagen Group-owned high performance car manufacture revealed new Style Edition variants of its Boxster and Cayman models, expected to be released some time next year.

With a Style Edition Boxster or Cayman, you’ll have the option of a Rubystar Neo exterior colour, which Porsche revived from its 964-generation 911 Carrera RS.

You’ll still have the choice from the usual 718 colours as well as decals and sticker sets currently being offered on the 911 range.

The Style Editions feature the 20 inch wheels from the Cayman GT4 and Boxster Spyder, in gloss white or gloss black.

Specs

The differences between the regular Boxster, Cayman and the Style Editions are purely cosmetic so the specs remain the same.

The Style Editions are based on the entry level 718 Cayman and Boxster that feature 2.0-litre turbocharged flat-four engines producing 296bhp and 380Nm of torque. With the standard six-speed manual gearbox, the Style Editions launch to 62mph from rest in 5.1 seconds, with the Cayman reaching 170mph flat out. The Boxster gets an extra mile with a top speed of 171mph.
