Ferrari unveiled the Purosangue, its first SUV
Italian luxury sportscar manufacturer, Ferrari revealed its first ever SUV, the Purosangue, following the success of its rival, Lamborghini with the Lamborghini Urus.
Ferrari revealed the Purosangue on Tuesday 13th Septemeber 2022 via social media. They tweeted the following:
"The #FerrariPurosangue’s shape was conceived as a sculpture that showcases and heightens its stunning aero development, flowing seamlessly from the front back into the flanks. #Ferrari"
Other competitors to the Purosangue include the Aston Martin DBX, Porsche Cayenne and Bentley Bentayga, however those cars cost much less with prices ranging from around £100,000 to £250,000. A 2022 reg Lamborghini Urus could cost you as much as £330,000 or more. The Purosangue is expected to start from around £340,000 ($392,224 or €392,598).
Tech specs
According to CNET, "The Purosangue uses a naturally aspirated 6.5-liter V12 making 715 horsepower and 528 pound-feet of torque, mated to an eight-speed dual-clutch gearbox. Ferrari estimates a 0-to-62-mph time of 3.3 seconds and the SUV's top speed crests 192 mph. Being an SUV, the Purosangue naturally has all-wheel drive."
Release
The Ferrari Purosangue is expected to be released next year. An exact date is not yet known.
