All-new INEOS Fusilier
The all-new INEOS Fusilier has recently been announced as the the third car to join the model line-up alongside the Grenadier (named after Jim's favourite pub) and the Quartermaster; a Pick-up variant of the Grenadier. The Fusilier will be the first BEV (Battery-Electric Vehicle in the range, with an approximate electric-only range of 200 miles, aimed at the lifestyle market for typically private customers rather than the commercial section of the mighty-workhorse orientated Grenadier and Quartermaster.
After the successful turn-out of the famous Grenadier - the automotive firm's first ever vehicle inspired by the iconic and legendary Land Rover Defender predecessor, followed by the Quartermaster pick-up truck, the Fusilier will be first electric car from the SUV-brand joining the model line-up being slightly smaller although similarly styled than the Grenadier to suite private consumers with two powertrain options to choose from: Fully electric or electric with Range Extender powered by a small petrol engine as a generator to supplement the battery - ideal for shorter commutes for the likes of urban-city driving.
Ensuring the Fusilier lives up to the INEOS nameplate to suffice Sir Jim Ratcliffe's expectations, the Fusilier will be commissioned in Austria by 4x4 specialist Magna Steyr - as part of their ongoing agreement with the firm who also manufactured the Mercedes-benz G-Wagon - where the Fusilier has adopted design cues and inspiration from - INEOS is certain the car will offer impressive performance - both on and off-road.
The INEOS Fusilier will go on sale in 2027 as a Battery-electric Vehicle with Range Extender an option for those who will benefit from covering higher - more motorway related journeys. Information on specification and pricing is yet to be confirmed.
